Legendary Author Jeff Hill Writes New Adventures with ZEROFIT Base Layers

Critically acclaimed and award-winning travel and feature writer Jeff Hill has joined ZeroFit as its newest ambassador, further solidifying ZeroFit's growing reputation within the motorcycle industry.

Hill, a native of Northern Ireland and motorcycle columnist for The Sunday Times, The Irish Times and The Daily Mirror, will star alongside Bennett British Superbikes athlete Glenn Irwin in the upcoming Zerofit autumn/winter advertising campaign.

Dream Team: Geoff Hill and Glenn Irwin

Michael Morton, MD of ZeroFit, said:

"We're thrilled to have Jeff join us. He has great energy and passion, and above all, he's a great storyteller. He's also experienced testing every base layer on the market."

"Jeff has traveled the world on two wheels and documented his travels in numerous books. These books have been highly praised by bikers, non-bikers and the media alike. We are currently planning a special trip in which Jeff will play a key role, and are honored to have him as our brand ambassador."

A world-class travel writer needs a world-class base layer

Geoff Hill, 68, is the author of the classic Way to Go: Two of the World's Great Motorcycle Journeys, which chronicles his adventures aboard a Royal Enfield from Belfast to Delhi and down America's Route 66. The book was published in 2005 and was nominated for Travel Book of the Year.

The sequel, The Road to Gobblers Knob, was a bestseller and described an epic adventure traveling the Pan-American Highway from Chile to Alaska.

Jeff says:

"I've ridden in everything from the Baluchistan desert in 51°C to the frozen lakes of Mongolia in -40°C, and the Zerofit base layers are hands down the best I've ever worn."

ZeroFit base layer, the perfect travel companion for all seasons and temperatures

In 2010, Geoff wrote Oz: around Australia on a Triumph, a book about his adventures around Australia, and in 2013 he wrote In Clancy's Boots, the story of Carl Stearns Clancy's circumnavigation of the world by motorbike in 1912-1913.

As well as writing, Geoff was a celebrated volleyball player, captaining Northern Ireland to the 1981 Commonwealth Championship and capping the team 122 times - a record that still stands today. He is celebrated as one of the brand's "Kings of Sport" alongside ZeroFit shareholder Brian O'Driscoll and other former Ireland and British & Irish Lions captains.
